Pam Atkinson was born in Auckland, New Zealand.
Pam studied Art History and was mentored by renowned New Zealand artist Amber Emm. Atkinson found a passion for painting in 2010 and since 2016 has worked as a full time artist along with an 11 month period as an art gallery co-ordinator.
Atkinson works predominantly in oils but also occasionally in acrylic and has also had a book published with Penguin Random House New Zealand of her photography with inspirational quotes.
Having exhibited in the Orewa Estuary Arts Members exhibition Awards in 2016 she came second in Viewer’s Choice and then also received Viewer’s Choice in the Kumeu Members Art Awards in 2017.
In 2020 she was named winner of the Estuary Arts Members Exhibition Viewer’s Choice Award.
Her art produces strong sales and is currently held in private collections throughout NZ. She has completed several commissioned pieces. A collection of Pam’s work can be found at Helena Bay Gallery in Northland.
